CONCACAF Women's Olympic Qualifying Final

Emily and I went to the CONCACAF women's olympic qualifying tournament final, Canada vs. USA. I had met one of the Canadian players during the summer #6 Kalyn Kyle. She advised me that the tournament would probably come down to the USA, Canada and Mexico. With lots of confidence in our team I had bought tickets for the final in December as a christmas present hoping to see Canada play for gold. The girls didn't disappoint beating Mexico in the semi final and qualified for the Olympics!

The lower bowl of BC place was sold out for the game, the place was packed and it was a great atmosphere. We had front row tickets, one section from midfield. The seats were great and we even got to sit next to a crazy women who screamed the whole game while complaining about an injury she sustained by falling down some stairs on the way into the stadium.  Even though we lost 4-0 it was still super fun to watch and neat to see someone that I had met play in such a high level event. After the trophy presentation, lots of fans hung around getting autographs from players of both teams, including the crazy lady who was now yelling at any player that walked by.

Here are some photos, no action shots :(
