More Champagne, then back to Rain

Welcome to part two of the weekend trip to the interior. If you didn't see part one see it here.

We just came off an incredible day at Silver Star with Dustin and Matt. Our legs were exhausted, so many turns, so much champagne powder. We had booked a hotel for the night, so we checked in ordered some pizza and had a well deserved rest. The guys ended up coming over to enjoy the hot tub. Brad didn't come over, he was to tired from keeping the silver star park in pristine condition all day.  During the visit Dustin had the best idea of the weekend, "We should go to Revelstoke tomorrow." he says. It didn't take much for Emily and I to agree as it had been snowing there the past two days. Matt unfortunately decided that watching NFL was a better choice so he opted out.  I gave Revelstoke resident Scott Duke a call and found out that another friend Dave Bemmann was there, a nice surprise. The guys left, and we set the alarm early for another big day.
Sunday morning came fast. Dustin and his friend Glen were out front of the hotel by six ready to head to revy. We packed the truck, checked out of the hotel took full advantage of the free breakfast. I was glad Dustin was driving as there was some snow packed sections and a crazy transport that decided to pass us on a blind corner. We got to town and stopped in at Scott's place first to say hello. He has one heck of a view from his house.

It was decided that we would meet up later on the hill, so off to the resort we went. When we got there we could see a line up at the gondola.

By the time we got our tickets and put on our gear the line was pretty much gone and we were on the gondola at about a quarter to nine.

Emily in line.

Dustin Ready to go.

Gondonla!

Going up! Emily and Glen on the Gondola

South Bowl

Mountains!

We had some amazing runs right off the start. There was tons of snow and fresh tracks to be found everywhere, especially in the trees.  Scott and Dave met up with us around 11 unfortunately we did not get any pictures together. It was great to have scott with us. Much like Dustin the day before, Scott became our personal tour guide and took us to some great spots on the mountain. North bowl was the highlight of the day. So much snow!!!!!

Our final run was a top to bottom around two. It took forever, Revelstoke has the most vertical in North America.  We said our goodbyes to Scott and Dave and hit the road back to Vernon. Dustin got us back safe and from there Emily and I continued on to Kelowna air port to fly back to rain in Vancouver. We had lots of time, had a nice dinner and relaxed on the plane the whole way home.
It was a great weekend, probably the best weekend of board'n I have ever had. So much Powder and great friends. Can't wait to to do it again.
