BC Place Re-Opens

Went to the BC lions game last night for the re-opening of the newly renovated BC Place. Sarah McLachlan sang O'Canada, there was a fun half time show and the Lions beat the Edmonton Eskimos 33-24!

COG weekend

Centre of Gravity on the long weekend and it was a Blast.  I Wakeboard for three days in a rail jam for the event next to some of Canada's best riders.  The set up was unique as we started in the lake and got pulled toward shore with a winch, over a rail and landing in a pool dug out of the beach.

Some good bands played, Em and I were able to watch Classified, Calvin Harris, Dragonette and Chromeo play.

The weekend ended with some great boating on the Okanagan with Dustin, Dylan and Matt.

Dodge Ball Champions!!!!!!

In their third season in the league the Kneecap Hunters finally made an appearance in the finals of Thursday night dodgeball. The match took place on June 23rd at Shaughnessy Elementary Vancouver B.C.   With a few spectators the kneecap hunters took the win with a final score of 6-3 over Pixar. The team received championship T-shirts which are proudly displayed in the team photos below.

Wake and Snow May 1

Finally was able to pull off wakeboarding and snowboarding in the same day this past Sunday
The day started early with an 8:30 set on the pacific ocean in Deep cove, my hands nearly froze off. It was tons of fun, and a big thanks to cove water sports for opening. After riding it was home for lunch to wait for Pietra to bike over. A couple city buses and a tram ride later we were riding on the snow!!

April Powder

Decided to head up to grouse on Tuesday night.  The local mountains got dumped on monday with over 50 cm of snow.     As we drove up Capilano road the rain started to pour down. Luckily the temp was cold enough that it was dumping snow up top!   Powder turns in the city in April!!!

Happy Birthday Vancouver

It was Vancouver's 125 Birthday this Wednesday and there was a party.  54-40 rocked the stage, the Olympic cauldron was lite and the grey cup was there!

First Wake Session 2011

I got my first Wakeboarding session in this weekend at Bow Lake in Washington. The lake is a man made private lake with guaranteed glass conditions. It ended up being colder than I was hoping but it was still lots of fun. Luckily there was a hot tub to warm up, check it out at www.waterskiranch.com
